Operation
Continuous Monitoring : AMOT Model 4271B Tempera-ture Sensor provides a low cost, reliable sensor which will allow continuous temperature monitoring of critical ma-chine parts. Model 4271B temperature detectors maybe used in medium to large stationary bearings and can be applied to liquid/gas systems by installing them in a 6721L- well.
Spring Loaded Design: Model 4271B contains an internal spring assembly which provides constant tension on the sensing tip. The internal spring assembly, used in conjunc-tion with the lower spring and seat attachment, provide positive contact to the monitored surface.
Environmentally Sealed Design: Model 4271B's environ-mentally sealed design, provides constant protection against oil and other contaminates from entering the sensing tip area when correctly installed. Viton seals are used in the unit's construction, which increases the sealing qualities of the 4271B.
Replaces Model 4103D: The 4271B replaces the model 4103D eutectic temperature sensor in form, fit and function. Model 4271B incorporates the same coding process as the model 4103D to determine installed depth and connection thread type, for easy translation/installation.
Corrosion Resistant : The body assembly, springs and sensing probe are constructed of 316 stainless steel, while the tube and spring seat are made from SAE #72 brass. A Teflon ferrule is used to lock-down the sensing probe into position and provide a corrosion resistant seal.
RTD or Thermocouple Configuration : The Model 4271B can be supplied as an RTD or Thermocouple.
