Operation
Model 8210J monitors engine RPM via Model 11408 Magnetic Pick-Up mounted on the engine's flywheel housing. An alternator signal is also an acceptable speed signal source. When RPM's exceed the switch's set-point, the switch trips, sending an electric signal to AMOT's 4261 Intake Air Shutoff Valve (or other shut down device), shutting down the runaway engine.
